Depending on the requirements of your local Civil Aviation Authority, the Multi-Crew Cooperation Course may be integrated as part of the initial type rating training. Alternatively, for others, the module can be undertaken independently.

The duration of an initial type rating training course varies depending on the aircraft type and the specific requirements set by each Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). It may also be influenced by the inclusion of optional modules such as multi-crew cooperation (MCC), extended diversion time operations (EDTO), or low visibility operations (LVO).
Obtaining a type rating training course certification is mandatory for all airline pilots who aim to fly the aircraft types that are covered by our full-flight simulator fleet.
Our courses necessitate a complete flight crew. If you require a partner, Simaero can pair you with another pilot to share the cost of the training. Please note that when pairing two pilots, the training is contingent upon both pilots' payment, availability dates, and confirmation of visas.
Airline policies vary regarding type rating training course fees. Some airlines may cover the complete cost of the training in exchange for commitments from the pilot, while others may require pilots to assume partial or total expenses upon hiring. Additionally, certain airlines only hire already-rated pilots. We recommend that you research the specific arrangements of the airlines you’re considering applying to.
Your type rating is valid for 12 months from your certification date. To maintain its validity, you must undergo an annual type rating revalidation skill test before the expiration date. If you miss the deadline, a refresher type rating course is required. The duration of which depends on your situation and the time lapse with the expiration date. Please note that to obtain a valid type rating on an EASA license, you must complete your type rating training course using one of these two options: either undertake a zero-flight time training (ZFTT) course within 21 days after the skill test or undergo base training within 6 months following the skill test.
